This
small exclusive beach-side suburb mainly consists of
luxury high-rise apartments. Teddar Avenue is the place
to be seenn and famous for its' alfresco cafes, restaurants
and clothing boutiques. The Indy track runs through
Main Beach streets, every October.
Many old beach houses remain and the owners are sitting
on gold mines!
Sea World, The Southport Surf Life Saving Club, and
the Southport Yacht Club can be found at Main Beach.
There is one, council run caravan park as well.
Schools close by are The Southport School for boys,
St.Hildas School for girls. Australia Fair is the closest
shopping centre. Surfside Buslines operate throughout
Main Beach and Surfers Paradise is within walking distance.
